Why does the water pressure change if you’re taking a shower and someone flushes the toilet?

Probably one of the funnier questions, and one of our favorites! In general when taking a shower a large amount of your water supply is being directed at your shower head. Should someone flush a toilet or turn on another faucet the pressure is somewhat interrupted as part of the water supply is sent in another direction.
